A Solid Insulated Switchgear (SIS) Core Unit is a highly integrated electrical module where all high-voltage live parts—including the vacuum interrupter, main conducting circuit, and isolating switches—are encapsulated entirely within solid APG epoxy resin. The exterior is coated with a grounded semi-conductive shielding layer. This makes the unit 100% SF6-Free, completely touch-safe, and IP67 submersible, ensuring immunity to dust, flooding, high altitudes, and extreme pollution without the need for a pressurized gas tank.
The complete solution. Integrates busbar connections, VCB, and isolators into a single, compact epoxy block. Ideal for standard extensible RMUs.
Isolating switch is positioned above the vacuum interrupter. Facilitates top-busbar cabinet designs and easy top cable entries.
Isolating switch located below the breaker. Perfect for bottom-cable entry applications common in underground distribution trenches.
Separates the VCB and isolator modules, allowing panel builders maximum mechanical flexibility to navigate tight or unusual cabinet dimensions.
Impervious to severe flooding, condensation, and salt spray. The unit can safely operate even if the switchgear trench temporarily fills with water.
The exterior of the epoxy pole is coated with a grounded semi-conductive layer. Operators can safely touch the exterior without risk of electric shock.
Because insulation relies on solid resin rather than atmospheric pressure, these units maintain full dielectric strength at altitudes exceeding 4000 meters.

SF6 relies on a pressurized gas tank, which carries the risk of leakage, requires continuous pressure monitoring, and has strict regulatory recycling costs due to its high Global Warming Potential. Solid Insulation (SIS) embeds the live parts in epoxy, eliminating gas leakage entirely. It is maintenance-free, environmentally safe, and offers superior performance in highly polluted or flooded environments.
While the main vacuum interrupter is encapsulated, SIS units often incorporate a specialized, shielded mechanical isolator switch within the module structure or utilize a viewing window equipped with illumination. Alternatively, the "Split Type" (BE71V) allows for an external, clearly visible air-insulated disconnector to be paired with the solid breaker module to meet strict utility visibility requirements.
Yes. Because they use APG epoxy casting, we can easily embed voltage and current sensors directly into the poles during the manufacturing process. This integration saves significant space and wiring complexity for smart RMU and SCADA applications.
