1 dari 1An Earthing Switch (Grounding Switch) is a critical safety device used to mechanically connect a de-energized electrical circuit to ground. Its primary purpose is to discharge residual static electricity from cables and busbars, ensuring a safe, zero-voltage environment for maintenance personnel.
Modern networks require Fast-Acting Earthing Switches. If an operator accidentally closes the earthing switch onto a live line, a massive short-circuit occurs. Fast-acting switches use a charged spring mechanism to force the contacts closed in milliseconds. This prevents an open-air arc explosion, successfully making the short circuit and surviving long enough for the upstream circuit breaker to trip.
The closing speed is entirely independent of the operator. Turning the handle compresses a powerful internal spring. Once passed the dead-center point, the spring violently releases, driving the grounding blades into the contacts at extreme velocity to secure a solid connection before an arc can melt the copper.
We offer models with built-in capacitive voltage sensors housed within the epoxy resin post insulators. These connect directly to the switchgear's Live-Line Indicator (DXN series), warning operators visually if the busbar is still energized prior to earthing.
Equipped with an electromagnetic locking coil (DSN). If voltage is detected on the line, the coil actively locks the operating shaft, making it physically impossible for the operator to insert the handle and close the earthing switch, strictly adhering to the "Five Preventions" safety protocol.
Available in 150mm, 210mm, 275mm, and custom phase distances to perfectly align with your cable compartment layouts, accommodating cabinet widths from 650mm up to 1000mm.
Supplied with the necessary mechanical linkage arms. The switchgear's rear cable compartment door can only be unlocked and opened when the earthing switch is securely in the "Closed/Grounded" position.
The base chassis allows for horizontal or vertical mounting depending on the busbar drop, maximizing space efficiency inside the switchgear.

JN15 is our standard, highly compact series optimized for 12kV and 24kV applications. JN22 features a heavier, reinforced frame and larger insulators, specifically engineered to handle the higher insulation requirements and massive mechanical forces encountered in 36kV and 40.5kV systems.
Yes. Because switchgear cabinet depths vary, we supply the earthing switch with customizable hexagon operating shafts. They can be extended to reach the front operating panel of deep cabinets or configured for side-wall operation, depending on your cabinet layout.
Yes, all our earthing switches are supplied with heavy-duty tinned copper braided straps. These braids reliably conduct the fault current from the moving blade shaft to the grounded base frame, ensuring the current safely bypasses the mechanical bearings to prevent welding during a short circuit.
