The heartbeat of modern power grids. Delivering lightning-fast short-circuit interruption (up to 50kA) and zero-maintenance operations for both metal-clad switchgear and rugged overhead networks.
A Vacuum Circuit Breaker (VCB) is an advanced electrical protection device used in medium voltage networks to manually or automatically disconnect circuits. Unlike Load Break Switches (LBS) that only handle normal currents, a VCB is specifically engineered to detect and safely interrupt massive, destructive short-circuit fault currents within milliseconds.
Panel Builder Solution
Withdrawable trucks and fixed-type circuit breakers engineered for perfect integration into KYN28, KYN61, and other metal-clad switchgear cabinets. Features embedded poles and precision chassis interlocks.
Grid Automation
Rugged, pole-mounted circuit breakers enclosed in stainless steel or silicone rubber. Includes Vacuum and SF6 gas-insulated models designed for harsh weather, auto-reclosing, and SCADA integration.
Operating in a high vacuum environment (10⁻⁷ mbar), our interrupters extinguish electrical arcs instantly at the current zero-crossing. The absence of ionizing gas means the dielectric strength recovers in microseconds.
The speed and reliability of fault clearing depend entirely on the operating mechanism. We utilize advanced spring-charge designs and optional permanent magnetic actuators.

Yes, a VCB can technically perform all the functions of an LBS (switching normal load currents) while also providing robust short-circuit protection without needing external fuses. However, VCBs are significantly more expensive and larger. Therefore, VCBs are typically reserved for primary distribution and main incoming lines, while LBS are used for cost-effective secondary transformer protection.
An Auto-Recloser (ACR) is a specific type of Outdoor VCB equipped with a smart controller. When a temporary fault occurs (like a tree branch touching a line), the ACR opens to clear the fault and then automatically closes again to restore power. If the fault persists after multiple attempts, it will lock out permanently.
Absolutely. We supply detailed 2D drawings and 3D STEP models to panel builders and OEMs to ensure our Indoor and Outdoor VCB modules integrate perfectly into your custom enclosures.
